Product description

Schaeffler has developed a new flange-mounted tapered roller bearing unit for moment bearing concepts in rotor bearing supports. It allows all forces and moments to be safely supported in one bearing. The double row t bearing unit in O arrangement, with grease lubrication and seals, is supplied pre-assembled. As an option, it can be fitted ex works with the grease sensor FAG GreaseCheck.
Schaeffler has also optimized its spherical roller bearings for main rotor bearing supports. It was possible to reduce friction and pressures in the bearing, to improve the distribution of forces, and to increase the axial rigidity. The bearings therefore have greater resistance to the wear which specifically occurs as a result of axial displacement.
The asymmetric FAG spherical roller bearing represents a significant step forward. It allows a larger contact angle to be used on the bearing row subject to axial loads and a smaller contact angle on the bearing row subject mainly to radial loads. This design substantially increases the axial load carrying capacity and thus the operating life of main bearings in wind turbines.

Linear guidance system INA KUSE X-life

The newly-developed, six-row linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies KUSE X-life are highly accurate and run extremely quiet, so that they can even be used in measuring machines. By improving the infeed zone design on the carriage saddle plates, the load ratings for six-row KUSE linear ...read more

New rolling bearing material Mancrodur

With carbonitrided Mancrodur, Schaeffler has resolved a long-standing conflict of aims in the development of rolling bearing materials: The new steel, combined with carbonitriding heat treatment, offers both a greater surface hardness and a higher ductility compared to other steels. Mancrodur is therefore ...read more
