Optical measurement technology shows superior properties in comparison to mechanical systemsin a variety of applications in industrial productionwith respect to flexibility, speed and data quality. We have been taken this development into accountfor years by developing image processing systemsfor component testing, like the modular test systemMO/P/S. This area has been expanded systematically,so that we now can offer customized systems forautomatic inspection as well as for 2D and 3D measure-ment of components in the production. The band-width of measurement tasks includes - position and attandance check. - identification of variants. - detection of imperfections, including transparent of reflective surfaces (lacquer examination). - flatness, diameter and gauge check. - shape measurement of 3D geometries of specular and diffuse reflecting objects. This large variety of tasks can usually not be coveredby a standard measurement procedure. Thus, theappropriate measurement system is selected andimplemented as a customized solution. In combinationwith our innovative automation systems, such as - bwm robot cells,- bwm revolving transfer and linear transfer concept,- bwm line concept integrated systems will be developed which meet thespecific requirements for testing in production con-cerning flexibility, reliability and economy. If necessary,the measurement systems are also integrated intoexisting installations. In this case you will also benefitfrom our long experience in special equipment con-struction.
