Virtualware has developed an application based on virtual reality technology for the simulation of the process of classification of certain pieces, some of them presenting certain irregularities. Workers can dive into the main factory floor of Fuchosa, using the HTC Vive glasses. In this virtual environment, they can move freely, move to their work place, explore the pieces and classify them according to whether or not they present defects, obtaining a computation of the results of each work session.
The result is a pilot experience that allows reducing the usual time needed of two months dedicated to the training and supervision of new workers. The training is performed in a controlled and very immersive environment, totally reliable with the real situation, allowing to internalize the classification process.
