Bearings with galvanized bearing surfaces
for bearing of crankshafts in high-power medium and high speed reciprocating engines and pumps
Function and properties:
A galvanically deposited ternary layer of babbitt gives the bearing best gliding properties and an excellent resistance to galling. The thin galvanic layer compensates for the comparatively low hardness of babbitt by ensuring a good load transmission into the harder sublayers and, hence, contributes to a high load-bearing capacity.
Maximum outside diameter of the bearing shells: 400 mm / 15,8 in.
- cylindrical sleeve bearings (for radial loads)
- collar type bearings (thrust bearings for axial and radial loads) with
anti-friction coated thrust side faces
