With the new podis® LED HiFlux, Wieland Electric has developed a bright light that is especially suitable for use in wind energy converters (WEC). Maintenance-intensive areas with high light requirements, such as the nacelle or transformer and converter platforms, can be ideally illuminated with this LED. With a footprint of only 10 x 30 cm, podis® LED HiFlux is extremely compact and also can be used in a wide range of operating temperatures.
The light is suitable for newly-built wind turbines as well as for legacy installations and repowering projects. With a luminous flux of up to 6000 lm, the LED can replace large fluorescent lamps and is used in particular when the lighting strength must be significantly higher than prescribed by the EN 50308. Thanks to a long service life, minimum maintenance and effortless replacement in the event of a fault, the lights are extremely service-friendly.
The podis® LED 2000lm is ideally suitable for tower areas which must be illuminated according to the requirements of EN 50308, such as ladders. Both the new podis® LED HiFlux and podis® LED 2000lm are suitable for industrial use, such as working areas and places in machinery and equipment. podis® LED lights are available both for the podis® flat cable installation system as well as for the gesis® RST round cable power bus system.
