In applications of preventive conservation modern approaches of control technology are used to fulfill the specific climate requirements like in respect to climate stability and the reduction of short term fluctuations. Therefore the actual climate states of the conditioned building have to be determined and analyzed.
In the project group «preventive climate management» of the university of applied science Fulda a concept for a web based climate management approach using concepts of Computational Intelligence as well as a data management system with simple web tools and several systems for data acquisition were developed. Using the concepts of decentralized data storage and processing, model based approaches are used to define a determined set point in order to control the applications depending on weather and usage of the building. So the indoor climate can be controlled regarding special requirements of historical buildings and energy efficiency.
