We characterise storage technologies, carry out technology assessment of market-relevant storage concepts and design hybrid energy systems. On the basis of neural networks, we work on algorithms for controlling economic storage concepts and simulate production and consumption processes in the energy industry. Through sector coupling, we will be able to better integrate decentralised energy generation systems into existing energy supply systems. As a university of applied sciences, we consider this to be an important step towards the sustainable conversion of the energy system.
