The robotic grinding and polishing cell of the series RSP is equipped with robots which work sequentially in that way that different production processes can be realized automatically.
The robotic cell described here under is designed for a fully automated fabrication of hunting knives. The piece is loaded by a feeding magazine. Subsequently the back of the knife is machined and the main cutting edge is ground on both sides, sharpened and steeled. In the end the workpiece is washed, dried and placed in a magazine. The robotic cell is equipped with a camera control.
Robots with four to seven axes are employed. For the programming of the robots Berger provides a basic program for different applications which can be adapted to the requirements of the customer by means of a few teach positions.
