Innovative safety relays
The new forcibly guided safety relays OA5642, OA5643 and OA5644 of DOLD are with only 10.3 mm height among the flattest on the market. Combined with a minimum required mounting area, they set new standards for the minimisation of safety solutions. In addition they offer high switching safety and current capacity up to 8 A.
Besides the compact design and high switching reliability also the reduction of the power consumption was a main target for the new design. The consumption of the magnet coil is as low as 0.4, 0.5 or 0.65 W depending on the number of contacts. Additionally the power consumption can be reduced to 25% of the pick up power, after the relay is switched on. This is ideal for high package density in temperature sensitive environment.
Placing SMD components between PCB and relay is possible.
The series OA5642 allows variable contact arrangements. The user can chose between different contact materials and designs for one contact set and also mixed arrangements are possible. So the relays can be adapted to individual requirements.
The standard relay is wash proof (RT III) and temperature stable up to 85 °C. It can be processed in lead free soldering equipment.
