SKILL Chat connects workers in service and production with remote support colleagues. The video chat application using smart glasses provides a perfect means for aimed support. The workers' hands stay free and ready for operations.
By the camera images of the smart glasses the remote colleague "sees" the exact situation in the field. That allows him to provide exact and appropriate support. Technically he only needs a web browser.
During the support chat the remote colleague may easily capture screenshots from the camera images in the field, enhance them with helpful annotations and send them to the smart glasses. Likewise he can send explaining drawings, graphics, tables or parts of them.
The SKILL Server manages the smart glasses and users. Customers can administrate their users by themselves. One pair of smart glasses may be used by different users.
Typically the worker with the smart glasses invokes the chat. He either selects support in general or specifically one of the colleagues that are currently logged into the SKILL Server. However, the chat may also be invoked by a support person.
