Product description

SOLARIGAMI Autarkic Energy System by MantisGreenTech is a two part system. The first is an origami inspired foldable solar textile we call Solarigami, designed to produce the energy needed by one person in 6 hours. This means you can charge your phone, work on your laptop, have a light source and have a little leftover. The second part is a non-invasive water filtration system, designed to filter 2 liters of water in 5 minutes. Just place your water bottle on top. The system can be sold individually or together as per user requirements, thus, exponentially increasing the market potential.

With the on-going over-usage of natural resources, a tremendous dependency on centralized systems and a requirement for mobile devices in all situations including humanitarian crisis, there is a current and urgent need for off-grid energy. We offer a product that combines methods and materials for generating energy for personalized and individual use. In combination with water filtration, our system responds to our most basic needs for decentralized drinking water and energy.

SOLARIGAMI is the brainchild of a multicultural and interdisciplinary team of Eva Hotz and Srijna Jha envisioned in 2014. We are a startup focused on the development, production and commercialization of green technology.

We identified the efficiency versus mobility to be the most limiting factor in the portable solar energy and water filtration market. So we made ours to weigh 800g, foldable to 1/10th of its original size. We maximized the incoming solar radiation by use of reflectors and adjustable solar cell angles. We made the water filter non-invasive by utilizing UV technology. Then we went a step further. We made it beautifully robust. We also made it so that one of the unit's (solar textile) can be attached to another to cover any surface area or energy demand. The diameter of the water filtration system can be increased to filter more.
