In 1990, we were the first company in Europe to apply water-jet technology in the field of sealing engineering and performed significant pioneering work in this respect. This cutting process that has no tooling, together with comparatively low programming costs, makes us even more flexible.

Pure water subjected to extremely high pressure, concentrated into a fine jet is the clean source of energy for water-jet technology. A high-pressure water pump delivers the water jet at over 3000 Bar pressure through a small sapphire nozzle. The water jet leaves the nozzle at around 900 m/sec- three times the speed of sound. This is the basis of the enormous separation force.
In the area of dimensions from 3,000 mm in length and 2,000 mm wide, almost all non-metallic materials can be cut, except those that are paper-based. Depending on the material, items up to 100 mm thickness can be handled. To establish the limits, we recommend that a preliminary test cut should be made.
A further strength of water-jet technology lies in the cutting of thick materials without changing the shape. Parallel cuts are guaranteed even with very soft, cellular materials.
