Technology for high efficient energy production from hydrocarbons without emission.
The ZEG-technology enables conversion of hydrocarbons into energy with a very high efficiency, from 70 to more than 80%, depending on the plant size and design.
The technology development began in 2001 as a collaboration between Institute for Energy Technology (IFE), Kjeller and Christian Michelsen Research AS (CMR Prototech), Bergen. The different technology elements have been demonstrated successfully at laboratory scale. Techno-economical feasibility studies have shown very positive results in terms of cost and overall energy efficiency. The technology is patented.
