Major challenges are imposed on the processing of threads, fibers and yarns in textile machinery as the yarn passes through thread guides and other contact elements at high speed causing extreme wear on these parts. Alumina materials have shown excellent results in these challenging applications.We were able to develop a special process to refine the powdered source material. A special polishing process is used to achieve particularly high surface qualities for parts made of A100 high-performance ceramic.
