Born in 1963, studied aeronautical design in Munich and Hamburg, graduated as Diplom-Ingenieur in 1991
From 1983 to 1987 Nikolaus Boltze was trained and employed as an officer in the German Army (Army Aviation).
After completing his studies in 1991, he joined Daifuku Co., Ltd. a leading Japanese manufacturer of material handling equipment, as a Sales-Engineer in the Munich Office.
In 1997, he joined Behr GmbH & Co. KG - a major automotive supplier in the area of thermal management - as a Project-Manager for Japan.
In 1998, he established Behr Japan K.K. as the first foot-print of the Behr group in Japan.
In 2005, Nikolaus Boltze became Managing Director of ThyssenKrupp Automotive Japan which was reorganized into ThyssenKrupp Steel & Technologies Japan in 2010.
Since 2010 he is also Group Representative of the thyssenkrupp AG in Japan. In this role, he leads the various activities of thyssenkrupp AG in Japan and with Japanese customers worldwide.
