In 1987, he began working for the Herborner switchboard manufacturer and two years later moved to product management for enclosure climate control. This was followed by a three-year stay in the USA. After his return to Germany, he took over the management of international product management for enclosure climate control until 2007. He then worked in international sales support for climate products.
Mr. Schneider regularly publishes specialist articles on climate control and energy efficiency of switchgear and server cabinets in specialist journals such as Automation & Drives, MaschinenMarkt, Elektronik.net and lectures at specialist conferences such as the Cooling Day by Elektronik Praxis.
The focus is always on current topics such as innovative hybrid technologies that enable highly efficient and energy-saving enclosure climate control, as well as the topics of Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT). By Rittal this means among others also modern communication technologies, like NFC interfaces for rapid on-site system diagnostics or integration of the cooling unit controller into higher-level systems with OPC-UA, SNMP, Profinet or Modbus TCP interfaces.
