Manager of the Telematics Research Group at Mondragon University. Responsible to coordinate the research activities in the fields of Information and Communication Security, the application of Data Analytics techniques to solve problems in Social Media Analysis, Industry Processes and e-Learning Environments. Coordinator of the MANTIS European project related to Proactive Maintenance. His research at the beginning, in Zürich Research Laboratory, was focused on the application of data mining techniques to an IBM's Class B network honeypot, to understand the behaviour of unsolicited traffic through the automatic generation of signatures (including malware). He has participated in 20+ public funding research projects, authored 30+ publications, and has been a member of 40+ conference program committees. He has coordinated research projects at regional, national, and European levels, and have experience in FP6, FP7, ECSEL and Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) Jonint Programmes.
