One of the major benefits of Paexo is that it's a passive exoskeleton that doesn’t need a power supply, making it exceptionally lightweight. It is worn close to the body, similar to a backpack, and is said to allow for complete freedom of movement thanks to its design, which is based on natural human movements. Visitors to HANNOVER MESSE 2019 are warmly invited to try out Paexo for themselves.

This cutting-edge exoskeleton is designed to assist employees working in production or skilled trades to carry out physically strenuous activities. According to Ottobock, Paexo truly shines when used to perform overhead tasks. This is because its mechanical cable pull technology transfers the weight from the user's raised arms to the hips, providing noticeable relief for the muscles and joints in the shoulder area and making overhead tasks much less of a burden. Thanks to its biomechanical design, the exoskeleton is body-friendly, following users' every movement at the workplace so they can walk, sit and pick up objects both naturally and comfortably. What's more, Paexo is said to be the lightest exoskeleton of its kind, weighing in at less than two kilograms. This means it can be worn comfortably for over eight hours, providing noticeable relief for the shoulders and arms during overhead tasks.
