Energy infrastructure for electromobility – Energize tomorrow

The unlimited mobility of people and goods as a matter of course contributes to the prosperity of our society. Nevertheless, if we want to maintain a livable environment we need to think about new mobility concepts. Electro mobility, or e-Mobility, is the key to sustainably transforming mobility.

Energize tomorrow

However, e-Mobility is only environmentally friendly and sustainable when electricity comes from renewable electricity. Energy suppliers and municipal utilities are embracing this megatrend and have begun to build up the required energy infrastructure. The energy sector in particular can benefit from the switch to e-Mobility. For example, we need to develop a complete charging-station infrastructure, expand the distribution grids and build electrical highways. Power consumption will increase, generating demand for additional energy sources such as wind power and Photovoltaic. Above all, we need to optimize the way that regenerative energy sources, storage and e-Mobility interact.

How will these energy infrastructures develop during the "mobility transition"? HANNOVER MESSE 2018 addresses the question at its display area Energy. It is where decision-makers from the energy branch as well as industry, science and politics gather to learn about innovative and efficient energy technologies under the motto "Integrated Energy".

HANNOVER MESSE is the only event that presents all technologies for energy infrastructure: regenerative energy production, energy storage such as power-to-gas, cogeneration, digital energy, virtual power plants, hydrogen and fuel cells, and energy management.

Implementing e-mobility means looking beyond country borders. As operator I have to rpovide the respective infrastrucutre. Operators that focus on improving both convenience and connectivity will be ahead of their competitors.

The goals of Stadtwerke: "We aim to establish Hannover as number one in terms of a modern e-mobility infrastructure. We will have 19 charging stations per 10.000 citizens - a German-wide top quota. We want to become the driving force behind the digital energy world of tomorrow. It is all about future technologies, including artificial intelligence, augmented reality or storage technologies."
