Recap of 2019
Artificial intelligence and deep learning are changing the face of industrial production, as intelligent machines recognize their own maintenance requirements, analyze structures in data streams and autonomously reprogram themselves. Japan is a key pioneer in this field. At the 13th German-Japanese Business Forum on 3 April, Yaskawa, NEC, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi Electric, Hitachi, Kawasaki Robotics and Siemens presented their innovations to an audience of nearly 300.
For the first time, the forum also featured a startup event, at which German and Japanese startups presented their innovations in a series of short pitches, with Japan-based AISing and CACH and German-based HoloLight and e-bot7 highlighting their developments in a number of fields – including ultra-fast machine learning, machine learning, improved man-machine communication, AI-supported customer service and the benefits of combining augmented reality (AR) and AI in the production process.
Save the date: The 14th German-Japanese Business Forum takes place on Wednesday, 22 April 2020.
Detailed information and participation opportunities at the Business Forum 2020 will be available here from mid-September.
