The latest sign of how important Atos has become in the market was when global research and consultancy firm NelsonHall declared it a "leader" in Internet of Things (IoT) services. The NelsonHall NEAT analysis evaluated the ability of 20 top suppliers and operators of IoT services to provide direct benefits and meet future requirements. Atos was ranked as a "leader" in all four categories - customer experience, new business models, efficiency improvement and offerings enhancement.

Atos primarily uses Atos Codex - its brand for advanced analytics, IoT and cognitive solutions - to deliver, manage and secure the entire IoT value chain, from networked devices and edge computing to analytics and smart business solutions.
