The I-PACE is the first electric vehicle from Jaguar. To minimize its weight, and thereby facilitate a range of around 470 km, the British multinational car manufacturer has given the I-PACE a lightweight aluminum body. The supplier is US company Novelis , which uses a recycled product with the brand name Advanz to produce the relevant parts. Novelis plans to produce the recycled parts for the I-PACE in its factories in Sierre in Switzerland and Nachterstedt in the German federal state of Saxony-Anhalt. The I-PACE will be built in Austria in a deal between Jaguar and Austrian automobile manufacturer Magna Steyr.

Novelis, the world’s leading supplier of recycled aluminum, reports that it has been collaborating with manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover since 2013, processing residue metal parts left over from automobile production processes for new body parts in its factory in Latchford, Great Britain. Novelis is a subsidiary of Indian company Hindalco Industries and part of the Mumbai-based Aditya Birla Group.
