The renowned Baden-Württemberg Environmental Technology Prize is worth a total of EUR 100,000 and is awarded in four categories every two years. Winner in the category “energy efficiency” is the Power and Energy Solutions energy management system from the transmission and automation specialist SEW Eurodrive in Bruchsal. In the “material efficiency” class, the Freiburg-based company NexWafe impressed with its kerfless wafer production technology for silicon wafers. Hauraton from Rastatt won the category “technologies for reducing, processing and separating emissions” for its microplastic filter system Sportflix Clean , and Luftmeister from Kirchzarten came first in the category “measurement and control technology for Industry 4.0” for its pneumatic energy counter , with which energy flow and consumption measurements in air pipes can be taken continuously for the first time. Eisenmann Anlagenbau from Holzgerlingen won a special prize in the energy efficiency category for its VarioLoc bodywork conveyor system.
