In the “ Smart Factory Hub ” project, the Institute of Human Factors and Technology Management (Institut für Arbeitswissenschaft und Technologiemanagement (IAT)) of the University of Stuttgart and the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (Fraunhofer-Institut für Arbeitswirtschaft und Organisation (IAO)) are developing an e-learning platform, among other things. Anyone interested can find out about technologies, production processes and HR organization in the smart factory environment here. The platform offers free e-learning courses and the opportunity to take part in webinars which offer solutions for intelligent factories. The main aim of the project is to develop the basic research, development and economic conditions for transnational collaboration in the manufacturing industry. A facilitator network made up of multipliers from various interest groups has been set up for this purpose, which supports knowledge transfer beyond the limits of the project. Manufacturing companies can also register on the “Smart Factory Cooperation Platform” and look for solution providers for smart factory technologies.

The study is funded on the basis of a voucher system, which is being trialed in the project. An SME and a solution provider come together and apply jointly as a tandem for the funding program. The project is running up to the end of June 2019.
