The DEKRA Award is presented annually to the best security solutions. The prize is awarded by inspection company DEKRA , together with German weekly business news magazine ‘ WirtschaftsWoche ’. Companies and organizations can apply with their services and projects in the areas of ‘Safety on the Road’, ‘Safety at Work’, and ‘Safety at Home’. In the new ‘Startups’ category, young companies from the digital economy are now invited to submit their ideas and concepts for greater safety. The main focus is on the potential and benefits that may develop from the ideas. The new category is intended to prevent startups from having to compete with established companies and big budgets.

The winners of the international competition will be selected by an jury of experts in a two-stage process . Applications are open until September 13, 2019.
