Using the example of the production of injection-molded parts, the BMWi-funded project OpenServ4P and its project partners present a new approach to automated, predictive quality control at the Hannover Messe 2018. The system evaluates various production-relevant data in real time during the ongoing production process in order to use machine learning functions to forecast quality-related parameters. In this way, the employees in production can be kept informed of the finished workpieces quality and intervene before results exceed certain tolerance ranges.
Another level is added to the approach with a mixed-reality interface produced by Scheer GmbH . This allows the real-time data to be projected into the real production environment in holographic form so that a large number of production and machine data as well as analysis information is always in the direct field of view.
