When developing new control software for machines, you rarely start from scratch. Programming skills and creativity are only required where modification or customization of existing software is involved. Powerful software tools are now available to simplify and speed up the basic development process. Lenze SE is demonstrating at HANNOVER MESSE 2014 how its FAST (Feasibly Applicable Software Toolbox) program can be used to complete up to 80 percent of the software engineering for standardized machine modules quickly and reliably.
FAST comprises standard software building blocks plus application templates, that Lenze uses to support its customers in the efficient development of control programs. The (re-)use of tried and tested function and technology modules not only prevents errors in development and thus efficiently lowers costs, it also frees up valuable time for executing, testing and commissioning machine features with which engineers can create key advantages for their customers.
