Hannover, Germany. Staged annually by Deutsche Messe within the scope of the HANNOVER MESSE exhibition, the WoMenPower careers conference is again enjoying strong popularity, with more than 700 people already signed up within the first 30 days of the registration period. Deutsche Messe is expecting a total of about 1,400 attendees.
Camille Johnston, Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Siemens Corporation, and former Special Assistant to Michaelle Obama, will speak at the opening event on 29 April, joined by Thomas Sattelberger , publicist, political consultant and former top executive. The conference features a total of over 35 workshops covering a wide range of career and education themes, including new forms of work, time management, leadership skills and design thinking.
Conference tickets are available at a discount of approximately 20% through 1 April, at 105 euros each (or just 25 euros for students).
For the fourth year, Deutsche Messe is offering the Engineer Powerwoman award, which carries a purse of €5,000. Deutsche Messe’s objective is to encourage companies to nominate female employees who are active in the STEM professions in recognition of their special commitment and achievements. The deadline for nominations is 6 April. The award will be presented at the opening event for the WoMenPower conference.
Apart from presentations, seminars and workshops, WoMenPower also features a supporting exhibition, with more than 70 companies, associations, networks, organizations and trainers on hand to inform interested attendees about career prospects, studies, coaching and mentoring opportunities as well as additional work-related topics and trends.
