Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit
The new partnership between GMIS and HANNOVER MESSE will delve into key challenges and opportunities associated with industry 4.0, with a focus on collaboration and cooperation in the age of digit.
GMIS was established in 2015 as an industry association to build bridges between manufacturers, governments and NGOs, technologists, and investors in harnessing the potential of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to transform manufacturing and support the regeneration of the global economy. A joint initiative by the United Arab Emirates and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), GMIS is a platform that presents the manufacturing sector with an opportunity to contribute towards global good, acting as a tool for global cooperation and collaboration, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The third edition of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit will take place alongside HANNOVER MESSE on 20 and 21 April 2020. #GMIS 2020 in Germany, co-chaired by the UAE Ministry of Energy and Industry and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) will work to adopt uniform global standards for the application of Fourth Industrial Revolution technology in manufacturing. Hosting the 2020 edition of the event in Germany will also contribute to promoting sustainable industrial development through innovation and the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies on a global scale.
