High performance vibration monitoring is essential to many industrial applications. Whether a large machine, a measurement setup, or a simple motor or pump, vibration monitoring plays an important role in conducting predictive maintenance.

Industry 4.0 is driving vibration monitoring from being a niche application to a mainstream, affordable application. Several techniques are used to tackle the challenge of resolution, data processing, and data communication associated with such application.


In this session, system requirements for vibration monitoring are discussed. Multiple techniques in signal conditioning, signal processing, and data transfer that enable making such application affordable will be introduced.
