HANNOVER MESSE 2020,
20 - 24 April
The Handling and Assembly Technology Department at TU Berlin develops solutions for integrated factory operation. Two of these solutions will be presented in the talk. The first one focuses on the training of service engineers in special machinery. Two Augmented Reality applications for Microsoft HoloLens and Smartphones support training participants in learning how to assemble integrally geared compressors from the special machinery manufacturer MAN Energy Solutions SE. The second solution enables an increase in productivity in battery cell production for automotive applications of more than 150% compared to the international state of the art. The development avoids downtimes, forced in previous processes by pick-and-place movements in the process sequence, by a continuous material movement of the battery electrodes and the separator.
