To ensure an efficient design process it is fundamental to have simulation tools that are able to exchange information with each other in an automated manner through the creation of an integrated workflow. This allows the automatic execution of the workflow and democratization of the best engineering practices within the company. Workflows quickly grow in complexity where multiple disciplines are managed in a single process workflow for which it is necessary to provide interfaces that can modularize / loop / reuse subprocesses inside the same workflow, schedule and execute optimizations inside the main process. Last but not least each application contained within the workflows need to be executed on different resources. This environment needs then to be compatible with web-based collaborative platforms, that allow to access, organize and share data and processes among the authorized users within the company, in a standardized, easy accessible and secure structure.
