How trendsetting Cogeneration is in district heating shows the example of Stadtwerke Lemgo. Today´s heat production for the more than 60 km long net with more than 1,800 decrease places occurs almost completely from CHP (combined heating and power) plants. Stadtwerke Lemgo can thereby offer to their customers a very good primary energy factor of 0.29. And this in an district heating net which has originated about many years from the union of single local nets. In perspective the Stadtwerke use for the heat production even increasingly renewable energy. For example, by the combination of CHP with sewage warmth pump.

Dr. Klene explains how the sector coupling is realized and how local area heat supply with CHP originates. That the Cogeneration easily can be used with renewable gases is shown at the example of a local heat net. Finally Mr. Voigt from Sokratherm explains the specific features of the technical realization.
