Description

This talk shows the latest status of a digital transformation enabler focusing on the manufacturing data in Japan. IVI and seven Japanese leading industries are trying to develop a system of systems (SoS), which deals with not only interoperability between systems but also data security, data traceability and data sovereignty. The Connected Industries Open Framework (CIOF) performs with a simple data protocol, heterogeneous semantics, and contract-based data management systems. Preliminary project has finished this February and the outcomes show that the architecture is much valid and valuable, and the framework will be a huge impact to the most of manufacturing industries in near future. In order to achieve the goal of this digital transformation, IVI wants to make cooperation with organizations in all over the world, so that industries can connect each other to get a new business chance in the digital economy.
