HANNOVER MESSE 2020,
20 - 24 April
Increasing scarcity of resources and rising energy prices are causing industrial companies to rethink their environmental strategy. At the same time, more and more robots are being used in the manufacturing industry. The Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with Volkswagen AG, has investigated a large number of influencing parameters on the energy consumption of industrial robots. For this purpose, more than 100 tests were performed on real robots, partially using applications from production. From the results, a guideline for energy-efficient robot configuration for planners and operators was derived, which should allow the user to improve the energy efficiency of the machine in 7 steps. In the presentation a part of the results and guidelines will be addressed.
