The increasing demand for the use of fiberreinforced-plastic composites leads to a need for large-scale production processes. Thermoplastic organosheets can be processed highly efficiently in press processes to form flat components. A comparable process for profile components is not yet known. As a start-up from the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology of the TU Dresden, Herone meets this challenge by developing a novel process chain for the production of FRP profiles based on the specially developed OrganoTubes. Herone uses the thermoplastic advantage to realize industry-specific maximum product properties for its customers.

The lecture presents a solution for the mass production of high-quality FKV profiles with thermoplastic matrix. The focus is on process technological potential and product quality in the context of selected industries.
