Description

Industrial Internet and Industry4.0 means networking a wide variety of data sources - including machines and sensors, IT systems in production and administration, and external services - with the aim of digitizing business processes, i.e. data driven decissioning and automation. The central role is played by IoT platforms in which digital twins are mapped, the data collected and processed with machine learning.The implementation of such solutions is often regarded as lengthy, complex and cost-intensive. We use concrete examples to show that this is not necessarily the case and that IIoT projects are successful.
