Description

The presentation expands on the topic of Industrial Intelligence as it bridges from the beginnings of the Smart Factory and Industrie 4.0 to the current state of development as well as the many upcoming opportunities. Future challenges in the implementation of an intelligent factory include finding the correct modularization and adjusting the current approach. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has an important role to play as an enabler in these efforts. The talk includes an introduction of the various AI methodologies and how they are used as effective tools in production. As a hands-on example: SmartFactory-KL focuses on understanding AI from the perspective of engineering and shows specific examples of the practical possibilities of AI in manufacturing at their stand in Hall 8 /D18, directly across from the Forum.
