Description

Industrial companies around the world are challenged between the priorities of energy cost optimization and reliable power supply. As such, energy is globally becoming an increasingly important competitive factor. With digital opportunities on the rise, a variety of cloud-based offerings has entered the market with the aim to support the industrial sector to being supplied with and using energy as efficiently as possible. This presentation focuses on the opportunities that cloud-based energy management services offer for the industrial sector. Big data and machine learning-based analysis of energy consumption data such as power, water, gas, fuel and more can be effectively used to reduce energy costs by up to 25% without affecting operations and output. In this manner, energy management systems are a powerful tool for continued business success, in addition to meeting regulatory requirements and reporting needs for ecological standards.
