HANNOVER MESSE 2020,
20 - 24 April
Due to the continuously increasing digitalization and networking in Industry 4.0, attackers are constantly finding new opportunities. Therefore, it is important to identify and assess the resulting risks accordingly and to mitigate these with appropriate security measures. But where does one start best? And what tasks are there for manufacturers, integrators and operators? The IEC 62443 series of standards serves as a helpful guide here. It looks at security for the different roles of a manufacturer, integrator or operator, and addresses both organizational and technical security measures. The presentation outlines the general procedure for the introduction of an information security management system, deals with the specific security issues of industrial manufacturing, provides an overview of IEC 62443 and shows examples of their applications.
