Description

Artificial Intelligence has a tremendous potential and already demonstrated it to generate value in various applications and domains. For Industrie 4.0/Manufacturing Industries many promising AI applications are already implemented and support customer benefits such as reduced time-to-market, enhanced flexibility, increase in quality and efficiency. AI means algorithm-based and data-driven computer systems that enhance machines and people with digital capabilities such as perception, reasoning, learning and even autonomous decision making. Focus will be on real industrial cases and opportunities showing the potential and benefit for data-driven AI in industrial applications such as availability of systems, optimization of productions and reducing emissions. Implementation of industrial AI relies on successful cooperation between industrial and academic partners empowered by networks such as Plattform Industrie 4.0 and European AI initiatives like Big Data Value Association (BDVA).
