Industrial identification and security: RFID tag encryption, secure OPC UA communication
In industrial production processes and in material supply, the secure identification of components, tools and containers in the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is essential. Traceability in production and constant availability and transparency of material flow data enable a high degree of automation and optimization of intra-logistics. Conventional RFD systems are vulnerable to external attempts to eavesdropping or manipulate data in the communication between RFD tag, reader and IT level. By means of integrated security functions in RFID systems, the manipulation of data carriers and the infiltration of manipulated tags is prevented. Furthermore, an integrated secure element allows encrypted communication via OPC UA as well as the use of certificates for the operation of RFID software and additional application apps.
