CTIC, Technological Centre specialized in cutting-edge technologies in the field of ICT, will show W3C capabilities in the field of connected industries 4.0. The Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) is the International Consortium which develops the Web technical standards. CTIC is the W3C Office for Spanish-speaking countries (Spain and LATAM)

In the current context of an increasing digital transformation in the Industry and being Internet the main driver fostering these processes, W3C becomes a key stakeholder for the deployment of the so-called Industry 4.0.

Interoperability, the efficient data-sharing processes between IoT devices using web architectures (web of things), Artificial Intelligence applied to cyber-physical systems and based on web technologies and the interfaces based on augmented/virtual reality on streaming are fields in which CTIC is working to develop technical standards in the Consortium Working Groups and to enable knowledge and technology transfer to companies.
