During the last two years, four incidents impacting industrial environments have offered new lessons regarding the boundaries of the systems we wish to protect. To truly protect industry we must take the Referenzarchitekturmodell Industrie 4.0 (RAMI 4.0) in a literal sense ? from the supply chain to the connected world. We must understand the full product life cycle, all its boundaries and engage in securing each and every part. Cisco discovered key details related to two of the four attacks to be discussed and will provide the researcher’s view into those incidents. Further this presentation will place focus on architectural and process issues which should be improved to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
