Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are revolutionizing many industrial applications. The talk will give an overview of current developments of ML and AI, in particular focusing on causal inference and its importance for many business related question. Classic examples are demand estimation and dynamic pricing which require a causal interpretation and formulation. The focus is on applications for business problems. Using examples from the logistics and marketing, practical applications for ML and KI in companies are shown. Also, case studies of projects with amazon and Didi are presented which highlight how the causal inference can be used for Dynamic Pricing based on AI.
