Today, new plants can be planned and tested digitally. But as soon as it comes to implementation, we speak of a media break when digital data is carried back to the analogue and to the construction site. Within a very short time, the digital system deviates from the real construction site. Changes, defects and progress are sometimes only recorded once a week or are completely lost. The digital twin or digital shadow becomes longer and deviates more and more from the idealized imagination of the planner in the course of the project.  With the help of so-called Smart Objects, the degree of transparency on the construction site can be massively increased and the recording of changes and progress can be facilitated in real time.
