With the klick!:labor (click:laboratory) at the Kieler Forschungswerkstatt (Kiel Research Workshop), visitors are immersed in the world of the seemingly invisible. As part of the experience, guests can also take an active role in everyday-related hands-on experiments.

How does mankind imitate nature in the development of novel technologies? What special features make nanoscale objects so interesting for consumer products? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using nanoparticles in everyday products, and what dangers might even be lurking? The scientists address all of these questions with the trade show visitors.

Maria Weisermann, doctoral researcher at the Kiel Science Outreach Campus (KiSOC) and head of the nawi:klick! (nanotechnology) offer in the klick!:labor at the Kieler Forschungswerkstatt.

Tobias Plöger, research associate at the Kieler Forschungswerkstatt, Project LeaP@CAU.
