Description

Artificial intelligence is currently attracting considerable interest and attention from industry because it will become a core technology and one of the driving forces of Industrie 4.0.  Standardization and conformity assessment will play an essential role not only in driving market adoption of artificial intelligence but also in mitigating some of the most pressing challenges related to (autonomous) problem solving and decision-making of machines. In this presentation, an overview of current activities in standardizing artificial intelligence in Industrie 4.0 is provided. Thereby, already identified standardization needs in context of Industrie 4.0 will be presented as well as an overview of the current state of national and international standardization activities on artificial intelligence will be given. The presentation will close by a preview of standardization roadmaps under way and its participation opportunities.
