Description

The transmission grid is the backbone of the transformation of the electrical energy supply in Germany. The presentation summarizes the work and study results of a VDE/ETG expert group from 2016-2018. The study was prepared in cooperation with the German transmission system operators, system technology manufacturers and research institutes. It focuses on the technical further development of equipment, systems, system components and measures whose innovations adapt the transmission grid of the future evolutionarily to the changing tasks. Based on the results of the study, concrete recommendations for action will be derived for the research and development of sustainable transmission grid structures.
