Description

What is presented?

The nano-pellets by myStandards are used as reference materials for determining elemental composition using solid state analysis. This type of analysis is used, for example, when mining for gold, in rare-earth elements for smartphones and in climate research.

What is special?

A reference material is comparable to the gauging-weight used to calibrate your kitchen scales. Our nano-pellets are pressed binder-free from nano-particulate powders. The small particle size makes them extraordinarily homogenous and applicable to a large variety of solid state analytical techniques.

What are the potentials?

The comparability of solid state measurements through uniform standards could potentially replace hazardous wet-chemistry methods. At the moment we are primarily working on geological reference materials. R&D towards heavy-metal contaminants in polymers that come into contact with food has already begun.
